Musical Community Service Awards

DEFINITION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE: An activity which is a gift or service, of benefit to the community at large, above and beyond personal benefit

PURPOSE: To encourage students to take their music out into the community.

ELIGIBILITY: Students of any age or level of music study, studying with a BC Registered Music Teacher or STA member.

Secondary School Credits

In alignment with the introduction of draft curriculum for Grades 10-12, the External Credentials Program is under review; at this time, no new external credentials will be considered until the review is complete. In the meantime, the program is still active and all existing external credentials are available to students. For further information and confirmation please contact your school counsellor go to the BC Government website.

A teacher who is in the process of completing their degree.

Student Composers' Club

The BCRMTA Student Composers’ Club meets monthly throughout the school year and provides an encouraging and supportive atmosphere in which students can learn about composing, hear each others’ compositions, and exchange ideas.
