Terms are two years starting April 2026; individuals must be current BCRMTA Members.
Board of Examiners Committee Member
The Board reviews applications for new members with international qualifications. Communication is by email, online meetings are scheduled only as necessary. Ten to fifteen applications are reviewed per year. Some experience with academia is helpful.
Student Composers’ Club Chair
The Chair keeps track of the members, sets and monitors the monthly zoom sessions, and invites guest composers/clinicians to the three events per year. Good organizational skills are helpful, as is some experience with composition.
Young Artist Tour Chair
In odd years, the Young Artist Tour Chair liaises with Branches and the winner(s) of the Multidiscipline Competition to arrange dates for recitals. The chair is NOT responsible for venue arrangements or recital logistics. Good people skills are helpful.
Member-at-Large on the BCRMTA Executive
Members-at-large attend the monthly online Executive meetings (one hour) to provide opinions and to voice concerns from across the Province. They have no voting powers and are not required to attend Provincial Council meetings. Members from Branches outside the lower mainland will be particularly welcome.
